The Royal British Legion Worksop Branch is proud to host the Armed Forces Weekend at the Worksop Rugby Club, located at Stubbing Lane, S80-1NF. This two-day event promises fun-filled activities and attractions for all ages and is completely free to enter. The event will take place on: Saturday, 28th June: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Sunday, 29th June: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The venue provides ample parking facilities, ensuring convenience for all attendees. Hot food will be available, catered by the Rugby Club, and visitors can indulge in delicious treats from Manfredi’s ice-cream and Treat Yourself by JC.
A wide array of attractions awaits, including Fair rides and Bassetlaw Bounce, Face painting for children, Harworth Archery sessions and numerous militaries stands showcasing history and equipment.
For vehicle enthusiasts, there will be an impressive display of 1940s vehicles, featuring Willis Jeeps, a 1974 Standard MJ-A1, and a 1940s RAF car. Additionally, visitors can marvel at a diverse collection of motorbikes from the RBL Riders and local Split-Links.
The entertainment lineup includes live performances from the talented Lily Taylor Ward and Linda Robin who will be accompanied by Minors Welfare Band and Blidworth Band. On Sunday, the Seaforth Highlanders will enliven the atmosphere with their stirring music.
