The Young Theatre Company is based at The Acorn Theatre in Worksop. Our hugely popular Theatre Classes cover all ages from 5-18, a unique mix of singing, dancing, acting and fun always geared towards a professional performance on stage!

About us...

Established over 25 years ago, The Young Theatre Company has grown to become one of the UK's largest youth theatres, and pride ourselves on being different. We strive to be affordable and accessible to all young people, with top professional tutors delivering high quality tuition and professionally polished productions!

Theatre Classes...

Our weekly, hour-long theatre classes are an exciting mix of drama, dance, singing and fun. Taught be experienced professionals, children quickly develop their performing skills as they work towards large-scale productions on stage at The Acorn Theatre!

Performances...

Our professionally polished performances make every pupil and parent proud. We perform two to three shows a year, and with professionally trained and hugely experienced directors at the helm, showtime is always spectacular!

Affordability...

We aim to be accessible to all youngsters, regardless of experience or ability. Part of that is keeping our fees affordable so that everyone can take part. Not only that, our fees include scripts, additional rehearsals, performances AND show costumes!

We have 3 age-grouped Theatre Classes:

• Nippers (Age 5-7):  Mon 4-5pm
• Juniors (Age 7-11):  Mon 5-6pm, Tue 4-5pm, Wed 4-5pm
• Seniors (Age 11-18):  Mon 6-7pm, Tue 5-6pm, Wed 5-6pm
